Essential Christianity: What Do We Believe About the Church?
What was your view of church growing up?
Read Acts 2:42-47. What is striking about this description of the church?
The kind of shared life described in Acts 2:42-47 – In what sense does that seem needed for you today? In what sense does that seem costly for you today?
Read Galatians 3:26-28.
What motivates you to share love with your brothers and sisters in Christ? What prevents you from sharing love with some of the brothers and sisters in Christ that God has placed around you?
Read 2 Corinthians 3:17, 18.
How might the Lord’s glory have been reflected through you this past week? How might you seek to share Christ with those around you this coming week?
God’s gift – The Church. How have you been blessed by the Church? How are you seeking to bless the Church? In what way are you seeking, along with the Church, to bless the world around you?
