Share about a time that you were rescued.
Read Genesis 22:1-9.
God tested Abraham. What’s the difference between a ‘test’ and a temptation? (God tests us, it is the devil who tempts us.)
Talk about a test/trail (Bill used the two terms synonymously) in your life. What has God taught you through it?
God sought that Abraham would renounce that which was most important to him. What is it that means more to you than anything else? How might God speak into that?
Consider Isaac’s perspective: How have you seen God as your rescuer?
God who calls you to offer everything up to Himself, who breaks in and rescues you… what is one thing He’s asking specifically of you this week?
