What follows is a discussion guide to be used in a small group to facilitate group interaction and application in regards to the most recent sermon.

Turning Point: Abram and His Call

 
Think about a time when you traveled to a new place to live. How did it feel?
 
Read Genesis 12:1-4a.
 
What could have been some of Abram’s objections to this journey? 
 
To what extent is the call to be a follower of Christ today similar to Abram’s call in Genesis? Has your call to Christ involved you leaving some things behind? What?
 
Abram was blessed AND called to be a blessing. What are some ways in which you have been blessed and in which you are blessing others? 
 
God is Lord of all creation. We are God’s subject. How should we respond to those truths?
 
We are in God’s care and we can’t live for ourselves. How should we respond to those truths?
