What follows is a discussion guide to be used in a small group to facilitate group interaction and application in regards to the most recent sermon.

Turning Point: Noah and His Boat 

 Share about a time when you felt awkward or embarrassed?
 
Read Genesis 6:8-22.
 
What does it take today in order to find favor in the eyes of the Lord? To what extent is the answer challenging and to what extent is it encouraging?
 
What kind of corruption and violence do you see around you (throughout a normal week)? What is your response to it? Does it grieve your heart like it grieves God?
 
God called Noah to an odd thing amidst the corruption around him. What might have tempted Noah not to obey? What do you believe prompted him to obey?
 
What ‘odd’ things is God calling you to amidst the corruption around you? What tempts you to disobey? What compels you to obey? 
 
How might you ready yourself this week to take that step of obedience to which God is calling you?
