What follows is a discussion guide to be used in a small group to facilitate group interaction and application in regards to the most recent sermon.

Turning Point: Joshua and His Household

                     
What is a loving thing someone has done for you recently? 
 
Read Joshua 24:2-13. How would that have felt to witness all that the Israelites had witnessed?
 
Share about a specific way in which you’ve seen God’s power and provision in your life.
Share about a specific way in which you’ve felt God’s grace poured out on you.
 
Read Joshua 24:14-15. 
 
How are you doing in your pursuit to identify and “throw away” your idols? (Remember idol worship is identified as “looking to something/someone short of God to do/be for us something/someone only God can do/be.”
 
We can serve God or serve idols. How do you feel about frequently asking the question “who am I serving?” as a way to keep tabs on your daily recommitment to serve God and not idols?
 
How has God been calling you recently to lead your family through expressing God’s love?
