Followers Who Lead, Leaders Who Follow: Imitator and Witness
Who is someone you imitated when you were growing up? Why?
Read 1 Thessalonians 1:5-10. What stands out to you as significant in this passage?
What, of Jesus, has the Holy Spirit been drawing you to imitate recently?
Read 1 Corinthians 4:16; 11:1 and Philippians 3:17. What do these calls and contexts have in common? What impact does this have on you?
What idols might God be calling you to turn away from? What self-sacrifice might that involve?
Who has been a model to you (like Paul was to the Thessalonians)?
Who are you imitating now? In what way are you a model to other believers? What is the message that is ringing out from you?
Close in Prayer (consider praying through Philippians 2:5-8).
