Collegiate Forum is a discussion and fellowship group at Covenant Church, which endeavors to support the spiritual growth of undergraduate and graduate students at Purdue, Ivy Tech, and any other higher education institutions. Primarily, the group meets together each Sunday morning from 9:20 to 10:15 a.m. on the second level of the church’s education wing in the Conference Room during the normal school year. Fellowship (including continental breakfast items) begins at 9:20, and discussion time begins at 9:30. Three couples and a single woman at Covenant lead the group in an in-depth, discussion-oriented Bible study. Some studies in the past have been investigative studies into books of the Bible such as Genesis, Joshua, Matthew, and Colossians. We have also done topical subjects like the Beatitudes, Dating & Marriage, and the Great Commission.
As we begin the Spring 2010 semester, we will study the topic of “Prayer,” with a focus on teh Lord's prayer as a means for learning more about the prayer lives that Christ wants us to have. The central Bible passage for the series will be Matthew 6.5-15, but our discussion will take us to many other scriptures dealing with the topic.
