Acts of Mission in the Community

Consider whether one of the following ministries may be helpful for you, or if God might be calling you to reach out to our community by serving in one of the following ministries:

Alpha: Explore the questions of life.

The Alpha Course, a practical introduction or reintroduction to the Christian faith, is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun, and friendly environment. Alpha is a respectful presentation on many facets of Christianity centered around a meal, a talk, and lots of time for discussion.  The next course will begin on Wednesday, September 22. New Focus

New Focus is a ministry that uses spiritual principles as a foundation for teaching people how to effectively manage their income. It is designed to make a permanent impact in the lives of those who are on welfare or face financial struggles. Each gathering involves a meal, a lesson, and then each participant meets individually with a financial coach. Once you sign up for this class, you will meet every Monday for 12 weeks from 6-8pm.

To sign up or for more information, contact Cheryl Tillett (463-7303).

Food Pantry

The Community Resources Food Pantry is in desperate need of our help. Covenant Church can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors by donating our time and riches to the Food Pantry.

Your donations may be placed in the Food Pantry cabinet located near the reception desk. Monetary gifts, including checks made payable to Covenant Church (Note: Food Pantry), will be collected in the weekly offering or may be delivered to the receptionist.

Contact Suzanne Caffee (583-4137) for more information.

Christmas for Everyone

This ministry involves several evangelical churches in the Lafayette-West Lafayette community in collaboration with the American Red Cross, providing gifts for families with financial difficulty who would not otherwise be able to provide Christmas presents for their children.

Contact Cheryl Tillett (463-7303) or Donna Vandergraff to get involved.
