A WELCOME message from our MOPS Coordinator
MOPS is a program for mothers of preschool aged children (infant through kindergarten). In this high-stress period of a mother's life she often feels inadequate, lonely, frustrated, or isolated. Frequently these feelings go unresolved. MOPS shows care in meeting significant needs of the woman by:
- Celebrating motherhood
- Making connections
- Promoting personal growth
- Motiviating innate creativity
The format includes regular group meetings with instruction relating to womanhood, marriage, child rearing, and the home. Small discussion groups provide for honest sharing, deepening friendships and spiritual enrichment. A creative activity time stimulates self-confidence through creative expressions and a sense of accomplishment.
MOPPETS ~ Children of MOPS mothers (infant-kindergarten) are involved in planned activities, grouped by age.
Moppets have a structured program of stories, crafts, music, and other various activitites and lots of love.
Infants are cared for in a loving nursery setting.
Cost for MOPS: Because of the variety of offerings we have at MOPS, there is a fee. However, we do not want money to keep anyone away.
The cost for MOPS this year is $60 for the first semester (September - December), which includes a $20 fee to MOPS International, and $40 for the second semester (January - May).
Come to our registratin open house! Visit us on August 20, 2007 from 9-11:00 a.m. to register for the 2007-2008 year of MOPS at Covenant Presbyterian Church! We will be in the Gathering Place, and you are welcome to bring your children.
